AgriSA is excited to announce that registrations are now open for its much-anticipated Green Horizons Congress to be presented at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town on 10 October. This key event is dedicated to sustainable agriculture and industry collaboration. The congress, branded as the Green Horizons Congress, represents a vision of growth, innovation, and resilience in the face of future challenges.
Says AgriSA CEO Johann Kotzé, “The name “Green Horizons” represents AgriSA’s commitment to supporting sustainable farming practices and strategies that look ahead to the future of agriculture. By embracing this theme, the congress aims to encourage delegates to work towards a greener tomorrow, balancing productivity with environmental stewardship.”
This year’s Green Horizons Congress holds special significance as AgriSA celebrates its 120th anniversary. “The event serves as a testament to the resilience and dedication that have defined the agricultural sector for over a century. AgriSA is proud to honour not only its own journey but also the remarkable achievements of other organisations in the sector,” says Kotzé.
The congress will feature a diverse array of speakers and interactive sessions, all designed to foster meaningful conversations and collaborations. Delegates will have the opportunity to network with industry role players, share best practices, and explore innovative solutions that address the unique challenges facing the agricultural industry.
As a highlight of the event, the Green Horizons Congress will conclude with a ‘Feast of abundance’ at Makers Landing in the V&A Waterfront. “This will be a celebration of agriculture, our farmers, their produce, and everyone involved in the agricultural value chain who connect our farmers to the consumer. This feast will showcase the diverse produce and products that are the fruits of the industry’s labour.”
Join us as we embark on a journey towards a greener, more sustainable future for agriculture. “Together, we can cultivate the growth, innovation, and collaboration needed to ensure the prosperity and resilience of the agricultural sector for generations to come,” says Kotzé.
